Namibia Freshwater Bank Angling is a shore angling and team participation sport in which competitors fish mostly with organic substances. Teams consists of 6 anglers and are paired into two (2) anglers per peg in three (3) zones, points are accumulated individually and then consolidated to determine team results. These anglers fish for various species. The aim is for each angler to catch as many  fish  as possible during an eight (8) hour event with a twenty (20) fish per species bag limit. An angler is allocated catch points based on the number & weight of all fish caught.  Catch-and-release is strongly endorsed..
