Species Angling Namibia is a shore angling, peg participation sport in which two (2) competitors (one peg) fish mostly with organic lures. These anglers fish for carp (Cyprinidae family) species only. The aim is to catch as much carp (accumulated weight) over a seventy-two (72) hours period. Total weight is accumulated per peg, to determine the best peg angler of the tournament period. Catch-and-release is strictly adhered to and all fish are released live.
